LF means \u201elocal fault\u201c<\/p>\n

LMA stands for “Loss of Metallic Area”, which means a decrease in the metallic cross-sectional area.<\/p>\n

While the LF measurement represents a relative measurement, the LMA channel represents an absolute measurement. Both channel types are important for the statement about the rope condition and complement each other with their respective strengths. All ROPESYS<\/strong> sensors have all channels as standard.<\/p>\n

Wire breaks are definitely detected. The test equipment can reliably detect changes in the metallic rope cross-section from 0.5% cross-sectional area.<\/p>\n

R-series devices are closed, circularly symmetrical devices (Round). The magnets are arranged circularly symmetrically around the rope, which results in a very homogeneous magnetization and minimal external magnetic forces. For most applications (hoisting ropes, conveyor ropes, ziplines, hauling ropes, etc.), R-series devices are ideally suited.<\/p>\n

U-series devices, on the other hand, have a U-shaped design that is open on one side. Thus, these devices (often in combination with a pneumatic opening and lifting device) are suitable for traversing obstacles such as rope riders and support shoes of ropeways, which makes them ideal for testing suspension ropes.<\/p>\n
