On September 18, 2025, Dr.-Ing. Martin Wehr conducted a practical training session on the use of the R28 rope testing device.

The aim was to provide employees with technical training so that tests could be carried out even more safely and efficiently.

BANG Crane Systems – Full-Service Provider in Crane Construction
BANG Crane Systems manufactures cranes with a high degree of vertical integration. This means components are manufactured in-house, and quality remains controllable throughout all production steps. Furthermore, BANG manufactures exclusively in Germany, enabling short delivery routes and reliable standards.

The company also distinguishes itself through practical solutions for industrial transport tasks.

Why the R28 Rope Tester is Important
The R28 Rope Tester operates using magnetic induction, allowing it to detect damage that is invisible to the naked eye. This allows for early detection of wire breaks, corrosion, or internal wear.

This allows for more targeted maintenance planning and reduces unplanned downtime. For operators, this means greater availability and lower overall costs.

Practical training with a clear focus
The
training focused on practical exercises. Participants conducted measurements under supervision, step by step. Dr. Wehr demonstrated how measurement data is collected and interpreted.

He also explained typical error patterns and useful remedies. It quickly became clear what added value the technology provides in daily practice.

Made in Germany as a quality mark
Both the cranes from
BANG and the R28 rope testing device represent German engineering excellence. This isn’t just a slogan, but a promise of quality.

Only when test equipment and components work together reliably can industrial processes be made permanently safe.

Benefits for Operations and Safety
The
training strengthens technical expertise, thus directly contributing to operational safety. Operators also benefit from more precise inspections, which consequently lead to timely repairs.

This not only improves safety and efficiency, but also the planability of maintenance cycles.

Conclusion and Outlook
The rope testing equipment training at BANG Kransysteme demonstrated once again: Continuous training and modern testing technology go hand in hand. Both factors are necessary to meet the high standards in crane construction.

ROTEC and ROPESYS support this process with technology and expertise, both in training and in subsequent day-to-day testing.
