ROPESYS – ROTEC Workshop 2025 Ski Trip Zugspitze: Expertise and team spirit at the highest level
The ROPESYS – ROTEC Workshop 2025 Zugspitze Ski Trip took place from February 13 to 16, 2025. Employees from ROPESYS and ROTEC, along with long-standing partners, traveled to the Zugspitze to share expertise and strengthen team spirit. This year, Jörg Wilke, Managing Director of the Ettelsberg Cable Car and President of the German Summer Mountain Railways, was among those present. Together, we spent inspiring days at the Schneefernerhaus.
Intensive professional exchange in a unique environment
The first two days were dedicated to practical workshops. These covered not only current developments but also innovative technologies and the future of magnetic rope testing. The intensive exchange yielded valuable insights that will advance both the industry and our team.
But theory alone isn’t enough to build a strong team. Two more days on the slopes followed. In perfect weather, bright sunshine, and optimal snow conditions, everyone was able to experience the impressive mountain scenery together. The informal exchange in the snow fostered team spirit, as did the shared sporting activities.
Unforgettable experiences on the Zugspitze
In addition to the technical aspects, there were numerous other highlights:
- Exclusive overnight stay at the Schneefernerhaus environmental research station – an experience that left a lasting impression on us.
- A convivial cheese fondue evening in the igloo village – a perfect combination of enjoyment and mountain atmosphere.
- Visit to the world’s tallest lattice tower support (128 m) – including an update of our vibration measurement system.
- Guided tour of the Schneefernerhaus environmental research station – exciting insights into important environmental research
Cooperation with the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn
A particular highlight was the close cooperation with the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn, with whom our team has been working for years. Our experts are regularly on-site to conduct magnetic rope testing of the cables and cable cars. Among other things, we are privileged to inspect the impressive triple world-record-holding “Zugspitze” cable car and contribute to the safety of its cables.
Our thanks go to the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn and the Schneefernerhaus Environmental Research Station for making this extraordinary experience possible. After these inspiring days, we are already looking forward to the ROPESYS – ROTEC Workshop 2025 Zugspitze Ski Trip next year!
