Zipline rope testing Alpspitzbahn – in use in wind, fog and mountain air.

A routine rope inspection was recently carried out at the popular AlpspitzKICK zip line in Nesselwang – using the ROPESYS R28. The magnetic induction testing device reliably and wirelessly detected any possible rope damage – directly on site, high above the ground.

Testing with team spirit and technology at eye level

This time, not only the technology was special, but also the cooperation: A dedicated employee of Alpspitzbahn Nesselwang GmbH & Co. KG actively accompanied our team during the test. Secured with a harness and helmet, she descended along the support cable with the testing device – through thick fog and at lofty heights.

Why the Alpspitzbahn Zipline rope test is so important

Zipline ropes are subjected to high levels of stress – every day, all year round. Temperature fluctuations, humidity, and mechanical abrasion require regular inspections. Our ROPESYS R28 detects rope damage using the magnetic induction method, providing precise, real-time data for maximum safety.

Long-term support from the ROTEC team

The entire facility – including the zipline – is inspected annually by the ROTEC team Our experts pay attention not only to the suspension cable, but also to safety-relevant details of the entire cable car. Experience, technology, and responsibility go hand in hand here.

We would like to thank the Alpspitzbahn Nesselwang for their professional cooperation – and wish you a successful summer season!
